3 Days. Prerequisites: None. Learn to sail a 22-foot sailboat in light to moderate winds and sea conditions in familiar water without supervision. A preparatory standard with no previous experience necessary. Successful students also earn a National Safe Boating Certificate approved by NASBLA and the U.S. Coast Guard. Daily schedule is Friday: 2-6 p.m.; Saturday & Sunday: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

3 Days. Prerequisite: 101. Students will learn to cruise safely in local and regional waters as both skipper and crew on an auxiliary powered sailboat of about 20 to 30 feet in length, in moderate winds and sea conditions. Daily schedule is Friday: 2-6 p.m.; Saturday & Sunday: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

4 Days. Prerequisites: 101 & 103. An advanced standard for individuals with cruising experience. Completion will prepare you to act as skipper or crew of a 30 to 50-foot sailboat by day in coastal waters. The course includes systems and maintenance procedures.

Most of your class time will be spent on the water, so come prepared to sail rain or shine. Be sure to bring shoes with non-marking soles for use on the boat, sailing gloves, sunscreen, water, a rain jacket, a hat and sunglasses. Upon registration we will send you materials to study in advance so that your sailing experience will be much more rewarding for everyone. Plus, there WILL be a test to pass to earn your ASA certification. (But don't worry - you'll be ready!)
