Intro to Sailing – $250.00

BOOK CLASS
1 day. Prerequisites: None. Learn the basics of sailing with this introduction to sailboats and sailing, safety, points of sail, tacking, jibing, man overboard and docking. Get out on the water and find out what sailing is about. Offered 7 days a week from 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Classes are located at the BridgePointe Hotel & Marina, New Bern, NC.

Day Sailor  – $495.00

BOOK CLASS

2 Days. Prerequisites: None. Learn how to sail on board our Capri 22 sailboat with tiller and outboard motor in light to moderate winds and sea conditions. You will learn the basics of sailing terminology, safety, points of sail, tacking, jibing, man overboard, docking and more. No previous experience necessary. Schedule is Saturday & Sunday: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Classes are located at the BridgePointe Hotel & Marina, New Bern, NC.

Overnight Sailor- $495.00

BOOK CLASS

2 Days. Prerequisite: Day Sailor. Students will learn to cruise safely in local and regional waters as both skipper and crew on our Hunter 27 sailboat in moderate conditions. Learn terminology, safety, reefing, anchoring, heaving to, man overboard, docking and more. Weekend schedule is Saturday & Sunday: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Classes are located at the BridgePointe Hotel & Marina, New Bern, NC.

Classroom Coastal Navigation  – $595.00

3 Days. Prerequisites: None. Able to demonstrate the navigational theory required to safely navigate a sailing vessel in coastal or inland waters. There is no Sailing Skills part to this Standard and practical application of this sailing knowledge is found in the Advanced Cruiser . Includes navigation tools (Dividers, Parallel Rule, Calculator) training materials. .

Docking – $350.00

BOOK CLASS

1 Day. Prerequisites: 101 An advanced standard for individuals with sailing experience. This hands-on course allows students to learn theory and practice repetitive docking and casting-off maneuvers to reinforce understanding of theory, methods and skills. Both novice and experienced sailors will benefit from this course as the techniques apply to small outboard powered boats in the 15- to 20-foot range on up to 50-foot inboard single-screw cruising yachts.
